PDF Editor, PDF Book Reader®

Your PDFs and Document Content

Your documents remain under your control.

The developer does not receive or store your PDFs, scans, annotations, signatures, or other document content. The developer does not have access to this content through the app.

PDF Editor, PDF Book Reader® uses Apple’s frameworks and services for its document workflows. Your document content is not sent to third-party analytics, advertising, AI, or document-processing services.

iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is optional and controlled by you.

If you enable Sync with iCloud in the app’s Settings, all PDFs in your library are automatically synced through your iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud services.

If iCloud Sync is not enabled, your PDF library remains on your device.

Apple Intelligence and OCR

Supported OCR and Apple Intelligence features use Apple’s frameworks and services.

PDF Editor, PDF Book Reader® does not use third-party AI or document-processing services for these features.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Apple handles the entire purchase and subscription process through the App Store.

The developer does not process or receive your payment information.

Camera Access

When you choose to scan a document, PDF Editor, PDF Book Reader® requests access to the camera through Apple’s standard permission system.

Camera access is used only to capture the document you choose to scan. The scan remains under your control, and you decide how and where to save, sync, export, or share it.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your documents remain under your control and can be deleted from the app at any time.

When you delete a document, it moves to Recently Deleted, where it remains for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted automatically. You can also permanently delete individual documents sooner or empty Recently Deleted at any time.

If you use iCloud Sync, you can manage your synced documents through the app and Apple’s iCloud services.
